Decklen – who’s name means “full of goodness” – is a young man who turned his back on his family, requesting his inheritance at an early age to leave and find himself in the world. After losing everything in the Arygros Village, he hoped to find wealth in the Minca Silver Mines – only to be trapped by servitude. Finally coming to his senses, Decklen escapes and travels home to his father, Octavius to ask forgiveness and a chance to begin the Quest of the Keys. Before Decklen learns his lesson and returns to Leonesse, he is undisciplined and selfish. When he returns, he learns humility and integrity.
