What is Crowdfunding?
Crowdfunding is the effort of pooling money together to fund an initiative. A group or company decides on a financial goal for their campaign, creates a central web page to communicate their message and spreads the word for people to donate.
An example of an extremely successful crowdfunding campaign is the Reading Rainbow campaign from 2014. The goal of the Reading Rainbow campaign was to “bring Reading Rainbow’s library of interactive books & video field trips to more platforms & provide free access to classrooms in need!”
To have a successful crowdfunding campaign you’ll need a strong message and a way to communicate that message to others. The best way to do this is through social media and email appeals.
How It Works
Quest of the Keys conducts our fundraising efforts through Classy.org, and provides your school with a fundraising web page. Your job will be rally your fundraising participants to raise money to reach your school’s goal.
To get people excited about your fundraiser and donating, you’ll need a strong plan for outreach on social media and email, and a way to make a short video to tell your story.
The cost of the Quest of the Keys curriculum is variable depending on the options your school opts for, but an approximate cost $270 per year per student. This covers the cost of everything a student and teacher need, including teacher training and a live presentation from our staff.
We’ll work with you to set a goal based on the number of students and teachers using the Quest of the Keys curriculum at your school.
